"Dancing With the Stars" fans were treated to a soulful Viennese Waltz by Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and partner Sasha Farber against the backdrop of popular Christian music. Their number was part of last Monday's "Most Memorable Year Night" of the reality dance show.

Biles danced to the tune of "Good Good Father" in dedication to her grandparents, Ron and Nellie Biles, who adopted her at a young age. In the opening video before the number, the 20-year-old gymnast talked about how she and her siblings had to be placed in foster care when she was 3 years old.

"My biological mom was suffering from drug and alcohol abuse and she was in and out of jail. I never had mom to run to," People quoted her as saying. "I do remember always being hungry and afraid."

She always looked forward to her grandfather's visits during those times.

Biles' most memorable year was when her grandparents finally adopted her when she was six and they became a major influence in her life by introducing her to the sport of gymnastics. Training 35 hours a week, the athlete went on to win five Olympic medals during the 2016 Rio Games.

Biles credited her adoptive parents for saving her life and for supporting her since day one. They also set an example on how to treat other people.

"There's nothing I could say to them to thank them enough," she said. "Even though there's no right words maybe dance will say it for me."

Another noteworthy performance was delivered by '80s action star Mr. T, who danced the Waltz to the music of "Amazing Grace" sung live by a nine-member choir. The former wrestler who is fighting cancer chose the famous Christian hymn to honor God but was eliminated despite being a crowd favorite.
