Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber news: Former lovers reportedly trying to make peace

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are among Hollywood's most famous exes, after dating on and off for three years from 2011 to 2014. Now reports say the two have been hanging out again, sparking hope to the so-called Jelena fans that the two are getting back together.

According to TMZ, the former lovers spent last Sunday night in Gomez's Los Angeles Studio City pad and hung out there until midnight. The two, however, were joined by mutual friends. Sources also said there was "nothing romantic" about the get-together.

TMZ also learned that it was not the first time for the popular exes to reconnect. They reportedly started talking again before Gomez underwent a kidney transplant in September.

Insiders clarified to E! News that the meetings were nothing more than friendly.

"They both have a long history with each other so they will always have a place in their heart for one another," an insider said.

Gomez's current boyfriend, The Weeknd, is currently on tour but he is said to be well aware that Gomez and Bieber are back to being friends and are seeing each other again. Their mutual friends said he would probably be hanging out with them if he was not away.

As for Bieber, who was last linked to fashion model Sofia Richie, sources said he is not planning to get back with Gomez.

"Justin is happy that Selena found a good guy that treats her well... He has nothing bad to say about The Weeknd," the source said.

On Wednesday, Daily Mail UK reported that Bieber was seen making peace with another one of his exes — Hailey Baldwin. The two reportedly attended the same late-night service at an L.A. church.

Bieber dated Baldwin for a brief time in late 2015 to early 2016. In an April 2016 interview with Marie Claire, Baldwin said she does not want to get too much attention when dating.

"It's hard to date somebody in this industry. You have to have really thick skin and be very strong," she said.
