Scripture has something powerful to say to all those who feel like giving up

We all know that life doesn't always go according to plan. Well, according to our plans, that is. Whether we're personally experiencing hardships or helping others through their own difficulties, finding the motivation to persevere can be something that every single one of us battles with from time to time.

When we're in the midst of a storm it's not just what's thrown our way that we have to deal, we also have to battle against the desire to give up. Our inclination to stop trying when the going gets tough is greater than ever when we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, don't understand why we're experiencing what we are and what good will come of our suffering. But just because we can't always recognise that He's at work, God is always the light at the end of our tunnel, no matter how dark it may be. It might sound cliché to say that God really can use even our worst days to create the best things for us, and you might think that friends are just trying to make you feel better when they say that God has something greater planned for you, but it really is the truth as evidenced by God's own word.

If you're losing your grip on hope and are on the verge of giving up for good, these Bible verses are just some of many which can encourage you to find God in everything and at any time. They're also worth sharing with a loved one who is facing hard times.

Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Ephesians 3:20 - Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Mark 10:27 -  Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

Hebrews 12:1-3 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
