The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 was expected to be made official in September, but nothing came up in the said month. Now, it is rumored that it could arrive in January 2017 and could still sport two variants.

The next generation tablet has been spotted on Zauba, a website that keeps track of India's imports that are to be evaluated in the country. As usual, the posting does not reveal any technical specifications of the tablet other than a sticker price of INR 34,138 which is approximately $505. However, this does not reflect the actual price of the unit, GSM Arena reported.

The South Korean electronics manufacturing giant previously confirmed that it will be released in September, the reason behind the high expectation that happened that month. Unfortunately, no tablet arrived. It was even anticipated to show up during the IFA 2016 event. The company also kept mum on the tablet. It still remains unclear when it will actually launch, although the upcoming CES 2017 event in January is a nice venue for such an activity, Tech Radar added.

In terms of its specifications, it has been uncovered that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will contain a powerful processor. While the processor is rumored to be an Exynos 8890 octa-core processor with an Adreno 530 GPU, the same chip that powers one variant of the Galaxy S7. It is expected to dominate the tablet market when it gets released.

The tablet will also be offered in two variants, WiFi, with model number SM-T820, and LTE, the SM-T825 model. It is also said to carry a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 4:3 screen display ratio. An improved TouchWiz user interface is also expected to come with it.

Another rumor suggests that it will still contain the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC with 3 GB of RAM. A 32 GB internal storage and a 4,000 mAh battery are also anticipated.

No information is available which will indicate if it will still have the 8-inch variant, similar to its predecessor.
