Samsung has become predictable when it comes to product launching. All of its Galaxy S models were launched between March and May. Now, industry experts are predicting that an April 2017 launch may happen for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge.

Trusted Reviews reported earlier that the next flagship handset to be released by the South Korean tech giant will put emphasis on its virtual reality aspect. It is speculated to be sporting a 4K/UHD display and a dual-lens camera system that may include a large 1/1.7 image sensor. It is also likely that it will arrive with the still-unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset, rumored to support 4Kx2K video recording, able to support up to 8GB of RAM and will likely contain an Adreno 530.

Additionally, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge is speculated to arrive with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display screen that sports an 806 ppi pixel density, but may go up to 5.5-inch screen size. A 6GB of RAM is expected, with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage and up to 256GB of external storage via a microSD card. A 12MP main camera and 9MP front-facing snapper are also expected to arrive with the device

Other reports mention that a USB-Type C to go along with the device, a bigger battery capacity, fast charging, wireless charging and an IP68 certification.

Cheet Sheet added that Samsung is interested in jumpstarting the 5G bandwagon, thus the upcoming flagship phone will be featuring such compatibility, which is the next-generation standard in cellular technology.This technology is expected to be 10 to 100 times faster than 4G.

Moreover, the company may introduce a light-based notification system, on the back of its phone, which is to be called Smart Glow. This feature will give its users visual alert for unread messages or missed calls.

Fans can expect more news in the months to come with regards to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge smartphones.
