The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro was first rumored to be in existence in January. Now, Samsung has made the phablet official, but it will only be available in China. However, many Western fans of Samsung are hoping that they could also have in their hands the latest smartphone, especially since it is known to have a 5,000 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, with model number SM-A9100, has a huge AMOLED display, 6 inches to be exact, and comes with a Full HD resolution, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The processing power comes from a 1.8 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 652 with an Adreno 510, along with a 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via its dedicated miroSD slot. It also boasts a 4GB RAM, according to GSM Arena.
On the back is a 16MP camera that features an autofocus 1.9 aperture, OIS, and LED flash. The front contains an 8MP shooter, also offering f/1.9.
The Galaxy A9 Pro also has a fingerprint scanner, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and a body made of metal and glass. SAM Mobile added that it comes with an updated version of TouchWiz.
The Galaxy A9 Pro model is almost identical to the Galaxy A9, which was released last January. The Galaxy A9 has good specifications and is similar to the Pro model, but it only has 3GB of RAM and a 4,000 mAh battery. The memory and the battery are not small either, but with the A9 Pro, they beefed it up a little more.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is available in Pink, Rose Gold, Black and White and is priced at 3,499 Yuan or around US$540. The South Korean tech giant has not said a word yet if the phablet will be officially available outside of China.
