Samsung Galaxy A3, A7 (2017) release date, specs: Devices spotted in Zauba, price leaked

It looks like Samsung is prepping to refresh its midrange lineup with a couple of smartphones, namely the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017).

Both devices were spotted at the Indian import and export tracking website, Zauba. It was revealed there that units of the smartphones were shipped to India directly from South Korea, which is, of course, where Samsung is based.

Not much information about the specs was revealed on the listings except the sizes of their displays. Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is getting a 4.7-inch display, keeping the same size the one before it had.

The new Galaxy A7, however, will get a much bigger 5.7-inch screen. This makes it slightly larger than its predecessor, which came with a 5.5-inch display. It is worth nothing that an earlier leak claimed that the A7 is keeping the latter screen size.

The listings also show that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will be priced at around $205 while the new Galaxy A3 will come with a $155 price tag.

Prior to the Zauba leak, the midrange devices also popped by GFX Bench, where a little of their respective specs sheet was uncovered.

There, the display of the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) was revealed to deliver an HD or high-definition resolution. Under its hood will be an octa-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and 8GB of native storage. The camera features will be composed of a 12-megapixel shooter on the back and an 8-megapixel snapper at the front.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), as stated previously, was listed in GFX Bench with a 5.5-inch display instead of 5.7-inch that was indicated on Zauba.

Powering it up will be an octa-core 1.8GHz processor coupled with a 3GB RAM. Being the larger handset, it will come with 32GB of storage space.

Interestingly, Samsung is bumping up the selfie snapper of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) from 5-MP to 16-MP. The primary camera will get the same megapixels, making it a 16-MP combo.

As for the release date, the new Samsung Galaxy A branded devices are expected to be launched by December, seeing that their predecessors were released within the same month last year.
