Rock Band 4 Harmonix

Game developer Harmonix is arranging its biggest rockfest to date with its newest offering, "Rock Band 4," which will be released to the PS4 and the Xbox One this fall. Developers from the game studio will show off the title's gameplay on May 15 in a one-hour interview with IGN.

As promised, Harmonix will be disclosing massive details about "Rock Band 4" this month. The highly-anticipated title has big new features to boast and is poised to bring next-level rock and roll experience, and the game studio is all set to introduce all of them.

Fans will know the first batch of songs in the game's library as well as the instruments at their disposal and the upgrades of each. The game will have a terrific soundtrack of about 2,000 classic songs, which are extracted from every "Rock Band" title, starting from the original one released in 2007.

"Rock Band 4" is, in a way, Harmonix's way of thanking players and virtual rockers who have invested so much on the game's predecessors. The upcoming title will let players import songs from their PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as run old peripherals. This way, players will get to enjoy all the in-game goodies they bought before.

On top of that, Harmonix is bringing fans up to speed regarding the making of the title with developer diaries. Irish Examiner says that the folks from Harmonix look like they want to show off their masterpiece and all the rock-hard features of the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, Mad Catz will take care of the distribution and the promotion of "Rock Band 4" and the company expresses its "deep appreciation for the amazing work by Harmonix" and that they "can't wait to play their part" in bringing the game to fans.

"Co-publishing the game allows us to work closer than ever before with Harmonix, delivering a seamless experience from game through hardware and ensuring that we focus on the needs of the gamer first and foremost," Mad Catz spokesperson Alex Varrey wrote on the official website of the company.
