It turns out Daniel (Josh Bowman) was not meant to be with Emily (Emily VanCamp) after all. As the tenth episode of "Revenge" winds into a close and goes into holiday hiatus, one of Emily's lovers breathed his last in protecting the woman he once surprisingly hated.

"Obviously if people are sad, that is a good reaction, and creatively I think if people are like, 'This is a bad thing,' then we've done a great job. If they are like, 'Thank God,' then it's a different story," Josh Bowman told the Hollywood Reporter.

Whatever the fans have felt about Daniel as a goner, they have nothing else to do but to look forward to what's going to happen next in the show in the offing. With two already dead, fans put their finger on what the future holds for Emily and her love life. As per Christian Post, a new one will come along in the person of Ben and the list will only be longer.

Showrunner Sunil Nayar herself spilled the beans in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I think you're going to start to see the real connection between [Ben] and Emily," Nayar revealed. "There's a kindness he feels towards Emily and kinship we're going to step on more," she added. In turn, this can only mean that Ben will be seen more frequently in "Revenge" upon its return.

Meanwhile, Daniel's death was found to be most life-changing for Margaux. "You're going to see a very different Margaux going forward," Nayar said. "It's not going to sit well with her that Daniel died in Grayson Manor in an attempt to help Emily. Margaux gets very energized because of it, but her rage and sorrow are not beneficial to her also carrying a child," she further disclosed.

But apart from Margaux, Daniel's death started a domino effect that will also hit Victoria and Emily's relationship. "Emily will have to learn what her father was really about and see the David-Victoria relationship for what it actually is, which is something that will help deepen her relationship with her father," Nayar told to E Online.

Things are heating up and fans would not want to miss a beat. Viewers will see the Episode 11 of "Revenge" titled "Epitaph" on Jan. 4.
