'Real Housewives of Atlanta' season 7 news: No more physical fights, security tightened in reunion, say producers

'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7

No "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" fan will ever forget the events that transpired in the season 6 reunion. Interesting as that event may have been for the followers of the show, the series' producers want to avoid a repeat in season 7's reunion. Hence, Bravo is taking the necessary steps to ensure that it will not happen again.

It can be recalled that in the season 6 reunion, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams got physical with each other. Kenya accused Porsha's husband Kordell Steward of cheating and Porsha didn't like it one bit. Out of anger, she stood up and pulled Kenya by the hair and dragged her to the floor. Host Andy Choden and the studio guards had to restrain the two.

After that incident, Porsha was charged with misdemeanor battery. As for Bravo's punishment, she was no longer a housewife in season 7 but a mere friend to a housewife.

Things really did turn ugly and it is not a surprise that Bravo decided to take steps in keeping the season 7 reunion as peaceful as possible. According to Radar Online, Bravo has already issued a warning to all the housewives that physical violence is not allowed and will not be tolerated.

Aside from a stern warning, there will be additional security during the filming of reunion episode.

"Producers have drawn a very hard line in the sand, and have reached out to each of the ladies making it very clear, there will be no violence tolerated. There will extra security on hand, prepared to deal with any potential problems," said an insider.

Bravo is also taking precautions further by banning alcohol from the reunion and assigning cast members specific seating arrangements. Additionally, the cast won't be allowed to get up from their seats unless there's a break or if they are permitted to stand. Any violation of the rules will automatically remove them from continuing to film the reunion show.

On top of all these measures, Bravo's icing on the cake is making the housewives sign a legally binding contract about not engaging in physical fights. However, not all the housewives are agreeing to sign it, citing possible self-defense as their reason, reports Wet Paint

The reunion special of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 7 has not been filmed yet.
