"Prison Break" season 5 will feature the return of Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) whose fate in the original series would have made his comeback impossible.

Then again, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) was believed to be a goner, only for his brother Lincoln (Dominic Burrows) to find out he has been working with a terrorist group in Yemen after all this time.

Apart from explaining how Michael managed to be alive, "Prison Break" season 5 is also expected to enlighten fans how Kellerman is still alive and well knowing what happened to him.

Fans walked away after the fourth season believing that the shady politician he, too, was also dead. It looks like it will be extremely difficult to get rid of him.

Adelstein has been teasing what his character will be up to in "Prison Break" season 5. The actor posted on Instagram a photo of one of his lines in the limited series, which read "Gotta call you back."

He captioned the photo, "You're never gonna guess why," teasing fans on what his beloved character is planning on doing in "Prison Break" season 5.

Executive producer Vaun Wilmott also shared a behind-the-scenes photo showing Adelstein with co-star Robert Knepper, who will be back as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell in the series.

"Who knew these two were friends," Wilmott captioned a photo, referring to the irony of it knowing the characters they play do not really gel, unless "Prison Break" season 5 turns things around.

T-Bag is the person who informs Lincoln that Michael is still alive. Surprisingly, he was out of prison, and he was looking more and more dapper in the revival series.

It is looking like there will be big changes coming to the characters in "Prison Break" season 5. After all, it is set seven years after the events of the season 4 finale.

"Prison Break" season 5 will premiere in spring next year on FOX.
