Pokémon Google Maps Challenge Locations: Find 150 Pokémon to become Pokémon Master

Always wanted to work at Google? Want the word "Master" in your job title? April Fools, I mean-- congratulations. Your dream job is here. Google Maps recently announced that they are seeking a skilled Pokémon Master to work at Googleplex-- their corporate headquarters located in Mountain View, California. The Pokémon Master role has no job description, but a September 1st start date, and a pretty fun application process. Google Maps created a Pokémon Challenge, "the most rigorous test known to man," to find the best Pokémon Trainers in the world.

Simply open the Google Maps app on your device, and click the search bar. You will see a blue Poké Ball with the words "Press Start."

This opens a map with Pokémon homes, characters, and Poké Balls-- if there were Pokémon nearby that are already captured.

When you click on a Pokémon, a screen appears telling you which character has been caught, and invites you to view all of your captured Pokémon in your Pokédex.

In a very high-quality, entertaining, promotional video, Google includes a warning that "side effects of the Pokémon Challenge may include extreme excitement and sense of accomplishment," and not to "operate the Pokémon Challenge in Google Maps while driving or operating heavy machinery." The info box also states that Google's hiring committee "must first battle to determine who can best judge the Pokémon Master. The battle date has not yet been set, so the role of Pokémon Master is not yet available. " There is however, no disclaimer that this is a prank, April Fools Day joke, or other form of folly. Whether this is a prank too obvious for a disclaimer is up to each Pokémon Challenge participant.
