The augmented reality mobile video game by Niantic, "Pokemon GO," recently swapped the availability of Gen 3 rare Pokemon, Zangoose and Seviper, across the world. This has been a pleasant surprise for fans, as the move by the game's developers was quite unexpected. Usually, it takes quite a bit of time before rare Pokemon become available, especially across different global locations -- which means that players will have access to the coveted Pokemon.

As of now, the Gen 3 rare Pokemon Seviper can be found in North America, South America, Canada, and Africa. Meanwhile, Europe, Iceland, Asia, and Australia will be graced by Zangoose. Greenland, on the other hand, will have its players have the opportunity to catch both Pokemon. The change is the complete opposite of where the Pokemon could be found during the holidays, which means that a good number of players will soon possess both Pokemon.

It is important for players to take note that the switch will not occur instantaneously, and it may take some time before every person on all the aforementioned locations may be granted access to both Zangoose and Seviper. It is possible for players to wait extensively before the Pokemon become available in their region. Therefore, those who are interested in catching the Gen 3 rare Pokemon should remain vigilant as to when the switch has fully become live.

The regional switch of Zangoose and Seviper opens Niantic up to many questions about their intentions moving forward with the mobile app game. Initially, regional switches take a bit of time in order to preserve the novelty and special factor in catching the special Pokemon. On top of that, Niantic has been known to make certain Pokemon, such as Entei, to be exclusive only to one specific region.

Does this mean that players can expect more availability of rare Pokemon in the coming months? Whatever the case may be, it seems that Niantic has been adjusting well to the addition of Gen 3 Pokemon to the world, with less complaints from players about in-game bugs, as well as extreme difficulty in catching rare Pokemon.
