Popular augmented reality game "Pokemon Go" has just released its latest update. With the latest patch notes, a number of improvements will be made to both Android and iOS, enhancing the players' experience in playing the popular mobile game.

The latest update also gave way to some of iPhone X's exclusive features. The game now supports iPhone X's ultra-high resolutions, as well as other optimizations so players using the new iPhone X will not encounter several troubles while playing. As of the moment, "Pokemon Go" is currently in the process of fully updating the game for iPhone X.

Some of the detailed changes in the newest update include: "Resolved a bug that prevented Trainers from powering up Pokémon to their max CP;" "Resolved a bug causing error banners to remain visible until the app is restarted;" "Removed support for devices running iOS 8;" "Added support and made optimizations for the iPhone X screen resolution," and more.

The new update released a day after the global event "Pokémon Go Global Catch Challenge" officially launched, taking place from Nov. 20 to 26. The main objective of the event is to entice players all around the world to try and catch three billion Pokemon in that amount of time so that rare prizes can be unlocked.

The event does not hold a one-time reward at the end of the event. The developers have set three milestones, letting players earn different prizes at each one.

If players have reached the 500 million milestone, they get 2x XP and 6-hour lures. If they reach 1.5 billion, they get 2x XP and 6-hour lures and 2x Stardust.

Lastly, if the main goal of three billion catches has been reached, players will get 2x XP, 6 hour lures, 2x Stardust and the region-exclusive Pokemon "Farfetch'd" will be obtainable worldwide for 48 hours. The region-exclusive Pokemon "Kangaskhan," which is only found in Oceania, will also be available to East Asia in the same amount of time.

"Pokemon Go" is available for download at the Apple Store and Google Play.
