'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Xbox One updates: Patch addresses crashes and game bugs

The battle royale-style massively online battle arena video game, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," has been making good on its promise of optimizing the game for the Xbox One. It has been expected that some bugs would most likely plague the Xbox One release since it is an online game, but the developers at Bluehole have been responding quickly to the feedback given to them by the players, in the form of a new patch optimizing update.

The most noticeable difference that the new patch has made is the slight improvement on the visual smoothness of the game. The large number of players that are present during each instance of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" causes the game to crash sometimes, which is a problem that sometimes still occurs on the PC version of the game. The patch has improved the way the game generates frames per second, which increases the overall efficiency.

Although there have been significant strides in the improvement of the game's visuals, it could still be better. The drop in frame rates is not only rampant on the Xbox One, but even on the graphically superior Xbox One X. It can be expected that the developers will be addressing this issue down the line, especially since they have already proven to be responsive to the concerns of their players -- and even admits that more work needs to be done.

Another notable change that has been made is the new aim acceleration option, which allows players to adjust the sensitivity of movement while the player is aiming. Previously, this option was nonexistent, and will definitely help players get more comfortable depending on their style of playing. On top of that, the developers also increased the damage that players can deal to vehicles.

Before the patch was rolled out, players exploited the fact that vehicles were tougher to kill due to their mobility and toughness, leading them to ride one and win the game by just running over other players. This time, pulling such a stunt is not so easy anymore, and players can force drivers out of their vehicles just by shooting them. This new feature adds further balance into the game.
