The widely popular battle royale style online shooting game, "PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds," has officially set a release date for the Xbox One. The game's developers, Bluehole, gave the announcement during the Paris Games Week on Nov. 1, to the delight of Xbox One owners. "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" will be hitting shelves on time for the Christmas season.

In a report by Gamespot, the game will be in early access mode on the day of its launch. Players will be granted access to the game via the Xbox Game Preview program, which is something that players will have to be vigilant with especially in terms of ping and server stability. Additionally, Bluehole seems to be taking no holiday breaks on December, as they also plan to release the full version of the game for the PC later that month.

The developers over at Bluehole seem to be dedicated in maintaining both versions of the game. The overall features will be slightly different for both games, with each platform having their own dedicated roadmap. This means that there is definitely incentive for players to get both versions since the experience will differ as well.

According to Tweak Town, Microsoft has made a lot of investments to ensure that "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" makes its way to the Xbox One. This is why the developers have made an effort to create a slightly different version of the game so that the Xbox One can have autonomy over its own version.

In a statement by the CEO of PUBG Corporation Chang Han Kim, he said, "Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible." It is safe to assume that as the game progresses, the developers will have a better idea on how to further improve "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds."

The Xbox One version for "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" will be released on Dec. 12, with a $30 price tag.
