The Battle Royale inspired online video game, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," has had more than its fair share of success even before coming out with a full version across all platforms. With news that a version will be coming to the Xbox One, owners of the console may be pleased to know that a physical copy has been confirmed by the game developers, as well as hints of a very close release date.

Gamespot has reported that the announcement regarding the physical copy of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" was confirmed by Bluehole Studio via their official Twitter account. This should not come as a surprise for fans of the game, since Bluehole already stated during Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that the Xbox One version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" will be exclusive to Xbox One players – mainly to do away with huge disparities in gameplay across different platforms.

Given the console exclusivity of the game, a physical copy was safely assumed but it still managed to generate excitement and hype. In a report by Express U.K., Bluehole has also revealed on their social media page that fans should get ready for the big reveal of both the Xbox One launch and the launch of the full version.

It is not yet confirmed what other details will be revealed but it could possibly be a myriad of different news, updates, and features. The good news is that fans will not have to wait that long, since the game is targeted to be released before 2017 ends, according to Windows Central. Furthermore, the developers have already optimized the game specifically for the Xbox One, so that the game runs as smoothly as possible without compromising graphics quality.

The success of the PC version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" has been nothing short of immense thus far. Venture Beat has speculated that the Xbox One version for the game could propel its popularity to new heights as it is aimed at being available to more people.

Currently, there is no confirmed release date yet for the Xbox One version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," but fans should expect it to hit the shelves before the year ends.
