The Bellas will once again hit the screen on 2015. YouTube

In 2012, the world was amazed and in awe of the Barden Bellas in "Pitch Perfect." Still, no one really knew if this was a movie that was headed for a sequel or not. But since it was a huge success and continued to have a great following even years after the movie was released, a sequel is indeed imminent.

Three years later, the Bellas are gearing up for "Pitch Perfect 2" in which the girls have to face a huge road block in front of them. Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles in the movie, but this time, Fat Amy (Wilson) has a big role to play in the predicament that the Bellas will be facing.

In the latest trailer of "Pitch Perfect 2," the plot is very obvious from the get-go. The Barden Bellas perform at the president's birthday celebration when Fat Amy gets into a really bad accident. Her tights are ripped as she does an upside-down split while suspended on air, and while stuck with the fabric, her privates are exposed for everyone to see.

Immediately, the Bellas are suspended. However, they won't take this lightly because singing and performing is what they do. So, they fight their way to getting reinstated. They would be if they win the competition where they will compete with the best groups around the world. Not to mention, the odds are against the girls due to the constant bashing they get.

The plot is hilarious and at the same time inspiring. Some of the things to look forward to in the movie is the cameo from some of the Green Day Packers and the performances from Penn Masala. And of course, fans are excited to see the sure-to-be memorable performances and how the girls will stick together through it all.

"Pitch Perfect 2" will hit theaters on May 15. Their main tagline is "Prepare to Get Pitch-Slapped."
