Phil Wickham tops charts

The latest release from Christian artist Phil Wickham is proving popular with fans as it soars up the music charts.

Response peaked in the last week at No 1 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel Albums Chart and reached the top 25 in iTunes’ overall chart.

It also debuted at No 3 on the US’s Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart and No 4 on the Christian Soundscan Chart.

The positive response builds on Wickham’s success to date, having sold 250,000 albums worldwide and nearly 700,000 song downloads since he hit the Christian music scene in 2006.

Response is his fourth album and includes 11 tracks that look at how Christians can adore God in every chapter of life, whatever the circumstances.

He shares: "When I see the different aspects of who God is in different situations of life, my response to that love can be seen as jumping for joy where other times I respond by saying, ‘You are Holy and I am not,’ humbled and falling on my face."
