Video game developers over at Bandai Namco announced on Dec. 18 that "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus" will be headed to the Nintendo Switch in February next year. The game has already been released on Sept. 15, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, the PC, and the Xbox One, so it may excite Nintendo fans to know that they will be able to experience the classic arcade-style game on their console hybrid.

According to reports, "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus" will allow players to play with their friends through the newly featured cooperative mode, which is not included in the base game when it was released for other console platforms. If players are not interested in the new features of the "Plus," they will still be able to get the game's single-player features, which include Score Attack, Adventure, and Big Boss Battle.

The difference of this modern-day version of "Pac-Man" is that they have changed the dynamics of the classic arcade game to provide more gaming options for players. These modes were created to entice both lovers of the original game as well as newcomers. Comic Book describes "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2" as a "new-school" take on the video game, with better graphics and tons of in-game content.

According to Destructoid, the cooperative game mode can prove to be tricky for players who are not well-coordinated. This is mainly due to the pattern with which the ghosts follow "Pac-Man" around, and with two players sharing any given map, it may be quite easy to make a fatal mistake if players make one wrong move.

This means that players will have to make use of constant and effective communication, coupled with speedy reaction time to quickly adapt to any situation.

"Pac-Man Championsip Edition 2" and "2 Plus" will be available on the Nintendo Switch on Feb. 22, 2018.
