Gamers can expect the "Overwatch" universe to get bigger as developer Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that more downloadable content (DLC) and events are coming to the game.

This is all thanks to the sweeping success of the first two events that the studio held for the title namely the Summer Games and the Halloween event.

"The two events that we've had so far have shown us we have a great model for follow-on content," Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said during an earnings call as quoted by GameSpot.

"We've found that it stimulates our audience and drives record engagement, so you should expect to see more events, like summer games and Halloween, and additional content, which we'll discuss in more detail later. We're very excited about the prospects for the future," he went on to say.

As for what these "Overwatch" DLCs and events will entail, fans will not hear more about when they will be available or what they will feature anytime soon. This should not be an issue as Blizzard just unveiled the most awaited post-launch character for the game.

Blizzard recently announced Sombra, the mysterious, long-awaited character that is referenced all over the "Overwatch" main game and was teased even before the game came out.

Sombra was revealed to be a hacker affiliated with the Los Muertos in Mexico but works with the Talon organization. As for her fighting abilities, her hacking skills sure come in handy in "Overwatch."

She can hack her way to disabling the shields and abilities of her opponents as well as their health packs. Additionally, she can become invisible for a short period of time (thanks to her Thermoptic Camo power) and can also transport from one place to another through the Translocator.

Along with the "Overwatch" DLC character, a new desert map called Oasis was also introduced, in addition to a new Arcade gameplay mode with 1v1 and 3v3 game types.
