Model-turned-actress Shari Rigby is talking about her inspirational new book called Beautifully Flawed, which details her journey towards Christian faith and ministry after suffering from years of drug addiction, unhappy relationships, and even an unwanted pregnancy.

Her book teaches people to embrace their past and learn how to forgive themselves. "Our life journeys are beautifully flawed," Rigby wrote. "We have all received certain talents and gifts and a passion that runs deep in our hearts to fulfill a calling. Each of us has value, and God has made us special and with purpose. Life will be full of challenges, but how we use those challenges makes a difference and helps make us."

According to Breathecast, Rigby bared her soul in her book Beautifully Flawed, and shared to readers details of her teenage pregnancy and unhappy marriage. She also shared how she got involved with drugs and how she managed to overcome her troubles and discover her self-worth in relationships, career, and money.

Beautifully Flawed navigates through her life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, after which Rigby found the courage to trust in God and surrender her soul to Him. This special relationship enabled her to overcome past challenges and disappointments.

It was also God that pushed her to try acting. "I was getting into acting at the age most women retire," she shared.

Today, Rigby is serious with her acting career with two films slated for release in 2015. She has also sorted out her toxic relationships, and found the love she deserves as wife and mother.

She is now spreading the journey of her faith to thousands of women in churches, maternity homes, and pregnancy centres in hopes of giving strength and hope to those in need.

And through her new book, Rigby aims to bring people closer to God and to rely on Him, because it was God who saved her from a life of sin and hopelessness.

Beautifully Flawed from BroadStreet Publishing will be released on March 2. It is written with Claire Yorita Lee.
