OS X Yosemite 10.10 problems: Wi-Fi issues continue, Apple yet to address the problem

New OS X Yosemite interface Apple

It's been a week since OS X Yosemite was released and Apple users are starting to move their Mac systems from predecessor Mavericks into the new operating system. With a redesigned dock, redefined features and overall the promise of a greater Apple experience, there is no doubt that OS X Yosemite is becoming prevalent.

Media outlets here and there have been working hard to help readers make the best out of the update. Yosemite, as the global Cupertino-corporation guaranteed, is teeming with amazing features. Unfortunately, negatives subsist and as of the moment, this is what is defining Apple's new OS offering.

Mavericks is becoming ancient with the Yosemite. No Apple user would want to be left behind. But they might want to postpone the download for the time being, at least until the existing Wi-Fi issue gets heeded by Apple.

Users have been looking for workarounds, just to get them by. Upon installing the Yosemite update, users complained about their Wi-Fi fluctuating. Users bugged by the issue posted on forums and participated in online discussions, working hand in hand to make their way out of the irksome situation. A universal resolution has yet to be generated although some solutions put together by fellow peeved users have proven to work temporarily.

Apple, on the other hand, is quiet about the whole issue. Users could only hope that the company is figuring things out in the midst of its silence, considering that users have already posted feedback and questions on the Apple Support forum.

OS X Yosemite 10.10 is the talk of the town, yes, but in a way Apple has not imagined. It's an otherwise flawless update, if it weren't for the majorly vexing Wi-Fi setback going on. As of the moment, its awesomeness is blanketed by this issue. The OS X Yosemite was promising when it was introduced. Users especially love the value of the Continuity and Handoff features integrated into it. Yet sadly, this beautiful feature has been compromised.

The well-loved feature allows users ultimate Apple device synchronization. When in the same Wi-Fi network and iCloud account, an iPhone and the Mac can vault in by giving the users the ability to place a call and send a text from a Mac computer. Of course, it entails updated software for both devices (iOS 8 for the handset and OS X Yosemite 10.10 for Mac). It is how it works with the Handoff, which helps users move files from their iPhones to their Macs with ease.

Tech Times has also managed to expose some of its hidden features for users to enjoy. Notable ones include a "Dark Mode", which makes it easier to look at the Mac screen in poorly lit spaces and a currency converter made handy in Spotlight. Also, with the message app upgrades, users can choose to mute specific message threads for a given amount of time by selecting the thread, clicking on Detail, and tapping the "Do Not Disturb" option. The Mail app has received an upgrade too. With the trackpad, users can now add text and draw shapes and callouts to pictures. Not to worry, as the feature will draw a smoother version of shapes and circles that users are trying to add.
