"The Originals" season 2 ended on a very bad note for Klaus, Elijah and Hayley. However, there are rumors that come season 3, a romance will brew between Klaus and Hayley, which Entertainment Weekly recently wrote off as very unlikely, considering the acrimonious circumstances.
The last time fans saw the characters, Baby Hope's mommy abhorred the reckless vampire, who cursed her to live her the rest of her life mostly in werewolf form, thus requiring her to stay away from her beloved daughter. Now, Hayley feels like it was Klaus who chose for her how to live her life.
According to the aforementioned site, "The Originals" season 3 will take place four months after the events that transpired in the previous season. In all those months, Hayley suffered the curse, which means that she still possesses her repugnance of Klaus and his carelessness.
What's worse is, Klaus doesn't even have the slightest interest in getting the curse out of her. In a nutshell, a Klaus-Hayley romance will unlikely happen in "The Originals" season 3 simply because one is too outraged and the other is too hardhearted.
If that isn't enough of a reason, perhaps the name Phoebe Tonkin, who plays Hayley in the series, will seal the deal. Talking to an earlier interview with TV Line, the actress revealed that forgiveness is something Hayley is just too incapable to give to Klaus right now.
"Hayley's not going to be able to forgive him easily for what he's done. Even if he did it for the good of his baby, I don't think he did it in the right way," Tonkin said. "He should have let Hayley know that's what he was doing so she could have been a part of the plan, so now she's pissed."
With such hostile conditions, fans can cross out a Klayley romance in "The Originals" season 3.
Meanwhile, Daniel Gillies can only hope that his character Elijah, whose "natural allegiance is turning more towards Hayley," will "be less of a butler to his schizophrenic brother and more of his own force in Season 3."
"The Originals" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 7.
