During the team's attempt to halt Dahlia in her tracks, Aiden got killed and the powerful witch framed Klaus for his murder to break up the Mikaelsons. She so successfully executed the plan as Klaus' siblings believed the accusation without thinking twice.
The new episode of "The Originals" shows Dahlia becoming more unstoppable, considering how planting a familial distraction in her enemies' way proved very effective.
Cami, who knows the truth about Aiden's murder, comes clean to save Klaus but her efforts may be in vain. Even if they aren't, it doesn't undo the stabbing and Klaus is now unable to lead the team in stopping the rampaging witch. Klaus is left to die, stabbed by her siblings.
"This is the beginning of the storm that will take us through the end of this season. By now, the family is a house divided. This is going to put the people we care about in the most jeopardy we've ever seen. That is the story we're going to tell in the last three episodes," executive producer Michael Narducci told E! News.
"They're going to stand up to someone who is the most powerful thing we've seen in this universe, and they're going to have to find a way to deal with her without the most dangerous member of their family," Narducci went on to say.
In the upcoming installment, Klaus makes a big decision. According to the synopsis, Dahlia reveals "startling" details about baby Hope, which she believes will convince him to accept an "enticing" proposition she is going to make.
During the crisis, Elijah and Freya are unable to see eye to eye, prompting Rebekah, Cami and Davina to devise their own plans before Dahlia manages to do more horrible things. Speaking of Davina, Narducci hinted that the chaos will not stop her from bringing Kol back to life.
Meanwhile, Elijah has come to terms with his unreciprocated love for Hayley, who is married to Jackson. Although this is the case, fans will still see a "tense stand-off" between Hayley's lovers. Meanwhile, Hayley is racing against the clock in figuring out her and Hope's future.
"The Originals" season 2 episode 20 titled "City Beneath the Sea" will air on April 27.
