After the death of Poussey (Samira Wiley), Litchfield will never be the same again, and this is what the inmates of the penitentiary will make sure of in "Orange is the New Black" season 5.

Poussey's murder was downplayed by the people in charge of the prison, which ultimately made way for a riot against the prison personnel and the inmates.

Daya (Dascha Polanco) held two prison guards at gunpoint after managing to get one a gun. Her next move, which will be revealed in "Orange is the New Black" season 5, will surely cause a big change in Litchfield.

These changes are far from good as more inmate deaths might follow, and the prison could just cover them up like what they did to that of Poussey.

The inmates will definitely be in the mood for vengeance in "Orange is the New Black" season 5, but the risk is always there, and the danger of being the next dead body in Litchfield is real.

Poussey's death definitely fuelled something inside of these people that will manifest in "Orange is the New Black" season 5. For Alex (Laura Prepon) and Piper (Taylor Schilling), it is knowing that they need each other more than they think.

"We've seen Alex and Piper go through so many things, but it's always grounded in the fact that they do really love each other," Prepon told The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's this whole push-pull thing and that's not going to change anytime soon. I don't know if people like that can stay together for too long. But whatever comes in season 5 will be great," she went on to say.

For Taystee (Danielle Brooks), it is a harsh realization that she will have to continue without her best friend. But to do that, she knows the prison should give Poussey what she deserves — respect.

This is why, in "Orange is the New Black" season 5, Taystee is expected to be stronger than ever before, using the heartbreak as a springboard to transform and become what Poussey always believed she could be.

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 premieres next year on Netflix.
