Many have been wondering why Jason Biggs, who plays Piper's former lover Larry in the hit Netflix dramedy "Orange Is The New Black," will not be joining the rest of the cast for another run.

In an interview with Huffington Post, the 36-year-old actor revealed why there would not be more of the paled-skin freelance writer in season 3. As it turns out, the answer is not as complicated as some think.

"It's not a Larry season," he told the aforementioned publication. "They have a lot of characters to service on that show and at the end of the day, it's a women's prison show. Larry is not a woman or in prison."

Despite a Larry-less season for "Orange Is The New Black," Biggs did not altogether snuff out the hopes of many regarding his possible return to the award-winning Web series.

"The good news is with a show like that, there's always the possibility that he could come back. And, I would go back in a heartbeat," he revealed, reigniting the optimism of fans who long to see "Orange Is The New Black" lay out some screen time for the "American Pie" actor.

It is not that far-fetched for Biggs to morph into Piper's former fiancé once more. After all, it would not be a very good idea to drop his character without shedding light to his departure. But despite his absence in the new season of the show, his support for it does not falter.

"I'm actually really excited to see Season 3 and talking to a bunch of people over there, I think it's going to be pretty awesome," the actor, who at the moment is busy with a Broadway play "The Heidi Chronicles," said.

"Orange Is The New Black" will be back with season 3 on June 12.
