Oppo's Mirror 5 specs, features review: Device shines like a diamond

 Oppo Official Website.

Following the launch of Mirror 5s smartphone in Taiwan early on this month, Oppo Electronics Corp. has now released Mirror 5 in the same country, according to the vendor's website.

The Mirror 5 offers a "diamond-like mirror surface" with a 5-inch HD display and a standout rear panel. According to the manufacturer, the back of the device was made with "individual cut-glass sections," which gives it a diamond pattern, as stated in the official website.

Oppo Mirror 5 may be all about pure aesthetics, but when it comes to the rest of the specs, the phone doesn't seem to stand out much. However, Oppo emphasized that Mirror 5 can still be used with gloves or wet touch.

Mirror 5 runs on a 64-bit quad-core, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and a 2GB RAM.

The 5-inch HD display should be enough, while the 16GB capacity for internal storage can still be expanded as the device also has a MicroSD card slot. The device also has the usual connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro USB port.

The camera is also a great feature of the Mirror 5. The website stated that the device's camera incorporates the functions of high-quality digital cameras while giving users the experience of convenient picture taking.

The phone features an eight-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. At the same time, the device also has a five-megapixel front camera.

Users can enjoy camera features such as Panorama, scene detection, smile shot, geo-tagging and HDR options among others.

It appears that Mirror 5 is a global version of the 5s since it carries very similar features but the difference only lies in the display resolution.

According to NDTV Gadgets, the handset also features a Smart Remote Control app that lets users control common household appliances.

The sleek, sparkling device is set to be released in South Asia, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and Middle East-North Africa region, reports stated. However, no information on the release date or price for the phone has been announced yet.
