OnePlus One Cyanogenmod 12 Build update released; Bug fixes and problems resolved

A lot of the attention these days is on the coming of the OnePlus Two but that doesn't mean that the OnePlus One has been totally forgotten. In fact, the current device still has some issues tied up to it though this latest Cyanogenmod build 12 will more or less address those issues.

Despite the fact OnePlus and Cyanogen have severed their ties, a new build to offset a seemingly buggy CM 12 has been released for the benefit of the OnePlus One owners.

The new Cyanogenmod 12 numbered YNG1TAS2I3 which will reportedly address touch screen issues such as responsiveness as well as other bugs that include connectivity on in-car entertainment systems via Bluetooth and MMS bugs brought about the initial build. The new release will reportedly resolve those issues.

Much of the issues were supposedly resolved by a previously released CM11, a previous version of the CM 12 caused some issues which reportedly rendered new bugs and issues with the Android 5.0.2.

But a new and better CM 12 with build YNG1TAS2I3 will reportedly address those issues mentioned earlier, one that can be applied via fresh install. There is an OTA update that can be flashed from recovery so OnePlus One owners may want to take a look at that. Aside from that, there is also a smaller OTA update that can be flashed from the recovery over build YNG1TAS17L.

The new ROM is reportedly 566 MB in size while the OTA is over 20MB. The update can be found at the XDA Developers post.

As with other OTA update, be sure that your device is properly charged (at least 50%) and that you have a stable WiFi connection if you are updating your device via the Internet.

Hopefully these issues will not be around as well once the OnePlus Two comes out in the market, assuming that the device will not yet carry the company's new OxygenOS.
