'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, news: New installment in anime series coming in 2017

"One Punch Man" season 2 is confirmed, and it will have a 2017 premiere. The renewal was announced at the One Punch Man Fall Festival, with the anime's official Twitter account confirming the good news.

The creators of the anime debuted a clip from the highly-anticipated new season as well as a sleek new poster in making the exciting announcement.

Specific information such as the premiere and the number of episodes as well as the plot to be tackled in "One Punch Man" season 2 will be revealed at a later time.

Voice actors of the anime expressed their excitement and delight about the long-awaited continuation of the hilarious exploits and battles of Saitama.

Makoto Furukawa, who gives life to Saitama in the anime, said on Twitter that, like fans, he himself was waiting for "One Punch Man" season 2 to be made official.

Kaito Ishikawa, who provides the voice of the bald hero's friend and student, Genos, said that he is thankful for the support of fans to the "One Punch Man" anime and their warm reception for a second season.

"One Punch Man" by ONE and Yusuke Murata is popular and loved as a manga. Madhouse Entertainment was to the letter in bringing Saitama's adventures to the small screen, which is why fans loved the project.

There have been a lot of talks about the plot and release date of "One Punch Man" season 2 prior to the announcement. It was rumored that an October premiere will take place, but clearly, this will not be the case.

Along with the renewal, it was also announced that a mobile game inspired by the hero for fun will also be released in coordination with Ourpalm Co. Ltd.

Most details about the game are still under wraps, but new information should be revealed soon.
