'Once Upon A Time' season 5 spoilers, plot news: Charming becomes besties with King Arthur, Hook still sees the good in Emma

Dark Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) in Once Upon a Time season 5 ABC

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will see Emma fully transform into the Dark One. If there are people who are taking this in the worst possible way, it will be her parents, Snow and Charming, whose relationship is also overwrought by the direction their daughter has gone.

"It is definitely going to put a strain on Snow and Charming's relationship," Josh Dallas, who plays Charming in the series, told Entertainment Weekly. "There are things they're going to go through in finding their way back to Emma," the actor added.

Thankfully, things won't be this melancholy for the character in "Once Upon A Time" season 5. He promised,"You're going to see Charming have a big bromance with King Arthur and go on some adventures," and added that "we're going to see Charming at his most heroic in Camelot."

Meanwhile, although Emma is consumed by the darkness entity in Storybrooke, love will allow Hook to still see the good in the love of his life. Colin O'Donoghue, who plays the devilishly handsome pirate, recently told Zap2it that he will look at Emma the way Belle looks at Rumple.

Rumple has done some terrible things in the past season but his love, Belle, still believes there's good left in there. "As much as Belle could see the good in Rumple, Hook is the same with Emma," the actor said.

The actor, however, admitted that it will be complicated for Hook in "Once Upon A Time" season 5 knowing that the Dark One, who he "spent hundreds of years trying to kill," has now taken over his girlfriend's being. Fortunately, this doesn't take him away from knowing what to do though,

"Hook loves Emma and he'll do whatever it takes to protect her heart and bring her back to being good again and being the woman that he fell in love with," O'Donoghue said.

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will premiere September 27.
