There have been rumors circulating that the upcoming game, "Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom," will only be arriving to the Xbox One as a digital release. However, the rumors are worse than initially thought, since the game's developers, Bandai Namco, have already confirmed that the game will only be made available for the PlayStation 4 and the PC.

The Twitter page of Gematsu has confirmed these rumors, stating that "Bandai Namco's response to Gematsu regarding Ni no Kuni II for Xbox One rumors: "Ni no Kuni II is only in development for PS4 and Steam." This may be saddening news for Xbox One users, especially for those who have come to love the first game. However, the news could be not as shocking for them nonetheless.

It was first rumored that the game would be arriving to the Xbox One when a listing of the game was associated by a retailer for the console. This sparked some excitement in gamers and fans of the title, since it served as some sort of confirmation that the game would indeed make its way to the Xbox One. Sadly, these assumptions are now proven to be an error made by the retailers.

In a report by Video Gamer, "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch" did not even come out for the Xbox 360 when it was first released. However, this did not stop fans from hoping that the developers would be creating the sequel for the Xbox One. Furthermore, developers Level-5 have no real experience in creating games for the Xbox platform. The only time they ever came close was during the mid-2000, which eventually got cancelled.

According to Gamepur, "Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" is set hundreds of years after the events of the first game. The sequel will show players a new world that has changed over time. However, not everything has changed, since the Cat and Mouse tribes are still at war with each other in Ding Dong Dell town. Despite the game's new time period, they will be greeted with the familiarity of the conflict.

"Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" will be released on Jan. 19, 2018 for the PC and the PS4.
