Nexus 7 2015 rumors: New Nexus 7 coming?

Everyone knows by now that the Google Nexus 7 has ceased to exist. Despite its appeal thanks mainly to Google's efforts of keeping it up to date, the affordable tablet has been pulled from the Google store in what many believe was to divert focus on the Google Nexus 9.

The Nexus 7 is still available from other online stores like Amazon.com. A peak at Amazon showed the Nexus 7 being offered at around $177.60 with free shipping, a big drop from the original retail price of $349. However, availability may be limited so interested folks may want to get them one and fast.

But could it really be the end of the Nexus 7?

In a previous article, we did mention that there are rumors floating around of a Google Nexus 5 rebirth with the touted Google Nexus 5 2015. The said version is currently in the works and will be something that may be compatible with Google Project Fi Wireless Service.

The service was something made to convince carriers in offering data-usage plan and address rising costs of Internet usage.

On that note, could a Nexus 7 2015 model follow? The idea is not far from happening.

However, it may take some time considering that focus is now on the Nexus 9 and if true, the Google Nexus 5 2015 model. Further, it could also depend on how well the Nexus 5 2015 would perform in the event it does come out in the market.

Additionally, there is a chance that a rebirth (of sorts) could make the Nexus 7 compatible with Google's Project Fi Wireless Service. As far as pricing is concerned, it could get a slight bump but now more than the Google Nexus 9.
