Nexus 5 2015 release rumors: Two versions codenamed Angler and Bullhead?

If the new rumors about the Nexus 5 (2015) are accurate, then Google won't release a Nexus tablet this year. Reports that the tech giant is chewing over the possible release of not one but two new Nexus handsets are gaining momentum. Android Police says that it is more possible that Google will release a tablet than release a pair of handsets, but the details on the latter have considerable weight.

Apparently, Google is taking a stab at bringing out two kinfolk handsets that possess almost identical specs. One will be high-end, the other low-end, and it is speculated that LG will make the former and Huawei will be in charge of the latter.

The first device is codenamed Angler, its moniker in line with the sea creature naming theme. The device is touted to be introduced as the Nexus 5 (2015) and according to reports, this handset will bear the makings of the LG G4. It is said to come with a 5.2-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. No word on the storage size yet but the rumor mill is almost certain of the device's Android Lollipop support. That's a 2700 mAh battery gracing the so-called Nexus 5 (2015), too.

The Huawei-made Nexus smartphone is codenamed Bullhead and it is a lot bigger than the Angler. The display will be scaled to 5.7 inches and its processor will be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. This package will be backed by a hefty 3500 mAh battery. The handset is said to be the new-generation Nexus 6 but "more manageable."

Google has yet to respond to the rumors but both handsets are already expected to dazzle the Nexus-loving crowd in October.
