New UK Christian chart show hits UCB

|PIC1|A brand new programme devoted to UK Christian music and the latest chart hits has started airing on United Christian Broadcasters.

The Walsall-based charity UK Christian Music Charts (UKCMC) hopes its new programme will help promote the Word of God and the UK’s Christian music talent among primarily 16 to 30-year-olds.

The 14-week series is broadcast across the UK and internationally via UCB TV (SKY 586) every Saturday at 10.30am and is repeated Mondays at 5.30pm and Thursdays at 5pm.

“So far we have received an extremely positive response from Christian music industry professionals, viewers of the TV programme and Christian bands about UKCMC,” said a spokesperson for UKCMC.

“We are extremely passionate about UKCMC and we believe that many hearts can be touched by the Christian message that is promoted through the many talented Christian artistes.”

UKCMC will begin recording its second series in April 2009, ready for broadcasting in the spring.

The ministry promises that the second series will be even bigger and better and feature a greater variety of music acts and videos, as well as interviews and a weekly current top ten music chart and top ten selling Christian books charts.

UKCMC has launched a fundraising campaign to gather the £30,000 it needs to record and broadcast the second series.
