NBA Trade rumors: Cavaliers, Suns, Clippers to make trades before deadline

The NBA Trade deadline is fast approaching and there are a lot of teams surely checking out their current lineup as they gear up for the second half of the NBA regular season. And three teams that will most likely be making moves are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.

What do the three teams have in common? As far as the Cavs and the Clippers are concerned, their lineups were early season favorites. But as they now find themselves at the bottom half of the standings, tweaks could be needed to bring them where they ought to be.

On a lighter note, the Phoenix Suns were not among the favorites and have actually come up with a credible performance. Barely among the top eight, the Suns could make it to the playoffs. But just to be sure, reviewing their manpower and the available players could be a wise move.

Who could they be targeting?

For the Cavs, a reliable point guard is a need. There are rumors that they may make a go at Deron Williams but so far, nothing has been heard. Kyrie Irving is of course lording it over the court general position but given the long regular season and the performance he has been churning, it should be interesting to see how durable he would be once the playoffs come around.

The Clippers? The club is reportedly setting its sights on Tayshaun Prince. The Clippers have one of the more talented lineups but lack help up front. Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan need a third man to help them out and Prince could be that guy.

The Suns could be looking for help especially with the dip in Miles Plumlee's numbers. Though Plumlee did start out strong, he may find himself on the block for someone who could churn in the numbers. Plumlee could be a target of some teams but with his numbers, a big question mark comes to mind.

In return? The Suns would love to get anyone who can contribute as they make do with their current low profile lineup.
