'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' roster news: Sound Four to appear?

 Bandai Namco

With "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" touted as the final game in its well-loved series, fans can expect developer CyberConnect 2 to give everything they got to make the game the ideal conclusion. This applies in all aspects of the installment, particularly in the title's roster.

The highly anticipated fighting game is peddled to boast the biggest character ensemble in the history of the franchise. This, in a way, gives the game studio the leeway to put just about every character in Naruto's world.

This is why the rumor about the Sound Four appearing in "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" isn't all that impossible. As per reports, CyberConnect 2 was asked by a fan about the group being playable characters in the series.

The game studio allegedly did not provide a direct answer, prompting fans to think that the elite bodyguards could actually appear in the game. The fact that the Sound Four have been a constant presence in the anime fillers increases the possibility of gamers seeing them in action in the forthcoming title.

The Sound Four appeared in the previous iterations of the video game too and since "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be the last, fans naturally assume they will be there. For now though, it looks like CyberConnect 2 isn't ready to talk about that yet.

The latest update on the characters roster is a trailer from New York Comic Con showing what the game looks like with Obito Uchiha in it. In the event, there were also sneak peeks of Itachi and Shisui slipping into their Perfect Susanoo forms.

It remains to be seen what CyberConnect 2 and publisher Bandai Namco plan for the upcoming title, which is slated to release February 2016 but some media outlets hope it has something to do with the inclusion of the sons of Sage of Six Paths, who is appearing in the game.
