In a surprising move by Studio Pierrot, "Naruto Shippuden" will start to put the spotlight on different characters every week, with two-part character specials starting with episode 480.

The installment, which will not air until Oct. 20, will focus on Naruto for the first part and Hinata on the latter part. A synopsis for the first half of "Naruto Shippuden" episode 480 as per Saiyan Island reads: "Naruto is the host of the Kyuubi. He trains all alone in the forest. During his training, a special someone appears."

For Oct. 27, the "Naruto Shippuden" installment, which will serve as episode 481, will focus on Sasuke and Sakura, respectively. The description for this character short is as follows: "Sasuke wants Itachi's attention. The parents of both boys suddenly go away for a few days, leaving the two brothers alone in the house."

For "Naruto Shippuden" episode 482 airing Nov. 3, the hour will be divided between Gaara and Shikamaru. The description suggests the former's past being explored.

"With the one-tailed beast, Shukaku, inside him and his uncle Yashamaru passively out to get him, young Gaara of the Desert had a difficult childhood," the synopsis read.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 483 will be about Jiraiya on the first part and Kakashi on the second. No plot synopsis was made available for this, though.

Noticeably, the synopses included pertained to the first few parts of the episodes only. There are no available details yet with regards to the second parts of the character shorts.

Either way, Studio Pierrot is not ready to let go of "Naruto Shippuden," even though the anime has already reached the end of the manga.

In the past, it was reported that the anime will shift its focus to the events that transpired after chapter 699 of the manga, which included stories about Sasuke, Shikamaru, and the Hidden Leaf Valley, among others — each one published in their separate mangas.

However, it looks like Studio Pierrot has another idea in mind for "Naruto Shippuden."
