There's roughly four more months of waiting before "Mortal Kombat X" treats gamers with gory fatalities and epic brawls and battles in immaculate visual quality. It was promised that fighters, original and unfamiliar, will be present and they are all equipped with abilities ready to conquer the land. But as the dawn of the potential chartbuster fighting game creeps up, the rest of the character roster is yet to be fully unmasked.

But according to KPop Starz, it looks like there will be good old bicycle kicking and more sword wielding in the upcoming title. Classic warriors Liu Kang and Kenshi are expected to step into the "Mortal Kombat" stage once more. Rumors flared when the names of voice actors Tom Choi and Craig Sechler were spotted on the list posted on the IMDB description page of "Mortal Kombat X".

This remains unconfirmed though. But still, "Mortal Kombat X" will be a lot more gripping with these two around. Liu Kang is the Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu fighting monk who conquered the game time after time as he safeguarded the Earthrealm. On the other hand, gamers would love to play as Kenshi, the blind rogue swordsman of Eurasian descent endowed with psychokinetic powers.

As what NetherRealms lives for, "Mortal Kombat X" will put enmity to a whole new level. As per Ecumenical News, plotlines are well-crafted and finely-stitched for gamers to see through the combatants, their individualities and driving force that molded their identities. The first entries of the character list were long-time rivals Sub Zero and Scorpion, Creative Director Ed Boon's favorite. Quan Chi and his antagonistic roots are also to watch out for. Raiden and Kano are always ready for a bloody warfare. Johnny Cage and Sonia Blade's daughter Cassie Cage will embark on new battles of her own in the game as well. Whole new characters like insect hybrid D'Vorah, Aztec Warrior Kotal Kahn and perilous dwarf-woman and masked beast Ferra and Torr were also made to shake up the realm.

During the PlayStation Experience expo in Las Vegas, gamers were given the chance to try out the yet-to-be released title. "Mortal Kombat X" Executive Producer Shaun Himmerick was blown away by the players who learned to pull off fatalities months before the game actually hits their own gaming consoles.

"I can't believe people are figuring out Fatalities. I don't know how they are doing this. It's unreal," Himmerick told Game Informer. "We are trying to make them very nostalgic, so maybe they are holding true to what we did before, but it's blowing my mind watching these people pull off Fatalaties. How would you know how to do that?"

NetherRealms is scheduled to release the world-renowned "Mortal Kombat X" on April 14 next year.
