"Mission Impossible 5" is officially ready to blast its way to the big screen. Director Christopher McQuarrie has announced through Twitter that the production for the film, after major stumbling blocks along the way, is ready to dazzle and amaze.

"That's a wrap," the director tweeted. "1000 thanks to our incredible cast and crew. You truly achieved the impossible."

The launch of the much-awaited flick was held off previously. Ethan Hunt's death-defying and heart-stopping missions were supposed to be shown on the silver screen in December last year. Several weeks ago, reports sprung up saying that the movie had to redo its ending because it was allegedly deemed "unsatisfactory" and was too unfitting to go for.

The rumors further claimed that the ending was changed from top to bottom and that a new writer, an unnamed and an unpaid one, had to step in and save the movie and the whole franchise. While it is true that the filming of the latest of the action spy film series did not go as planned, McQuarrie denied the speculations.

In a 30-minute Q&A he held on Twitter, the director clarified the reshooting issue and said that all they did was to prep up the movie. During the occasion, he also revealed that a trailer for "Mission Impossible 5" is already on the horizon. However, he did not mention a specific date as to when it will actually be brought out.

For the fifth time, fans will see Tom Cruise reprise his role as the highly-skilled secret agent Ethan Hunt. The rest of the stellar cast includes Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames. There will be new faces to see, too. There's Sean Harris, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney and Zhang Jingchu.

"Mission Impossible 5" premieres July 31.
