For "Minecraft" lovers, the update has come. For now though, it's more of great news for players who play on an Xbox console because that's where the upcoming update will be released first. The PlayStation update will follow suit.

The new content update is quite big. Tons of new items are added, including new mobs, new terrain features and lots of improvements. Here's what to expect in the update as outlined by PlayStation Lifestyle

New Items

The new items include Hardened Clay, Stained Clay, Block of Coal, Hay Bale, Activator Rail, Block of Redstone, Daylight Sensor, Dropper, Hopper, Minecart with Hopper, Minecart with TNT, Redstone Comparator, Weighted Pressure Plate, Beacon, Trapped Chest, Firework Rocket, Firework Star, Nether Star, Lead, Horse Armor, Name Tag and Horse Spawn Egg.

New Monsters

To challenge players more, "Minecraft" rolled out new mobs. The list includes Wither, Wither Skeletons, Witches, Bats, Horses, Donkeys and Mules.

Other changes and additions:

To help new players, new mini-tutorials are added and they replace the old Tutorial world. There is the new Beacon, Horse and Hopper interface, as well as Fireworks, which allows players to craft Firework Star or Firework Rocket.

There's the new Adventure Mode where players can start breaking blocks with their tools. There are new sounds, too. The mobs and items can now pass through portals. Zombies and skeletons spawn with armor and weapon. There are also new death messages.

Now, mobs can be named using a name tag and they can also be renamed. Unlike before, the Bonemeal is reduced to growing randomly in stages. The dispensers can now face different directions. As for the Golden Apple, it will give the player extra health for a short period of time.

Additionally, monsters will now spawn slower when players stay in an area long. And the languge selector has been added, too.

The same update will roll out for PlayStation consoles. However, there is still no exact date released as of this moment. In the meantime, there's a secret surprise that comes with an update and it can be viewed in this video.
