The vast "Minecraft" community is in for a massive bombshell. Mojang, which skipped the much-anticipated Minecon affair last year, is prepping up for a full-scale Minecraft-filled convention in summer this year. The studio is bringing it to the U.K. on July 4 and 5 at the ExCel London Exhibition and Conference Center.

"If you like Minecraft, and you like people who like Minecraft, you'll probably like Minecon," Mojang COO Vu Bui wrote in the company's official website. "It's THE place to see all the cool Mojangstas you fancy, meet people who love Minecraft maybe even as much as you do, and attend panels and events full of YouTube creators and a ton of other talented folks!"

Mojang will allow up to 10,000 "Minecraft" buffs and aficionados. The selling of the tickets will be in split into two sets, 5,000 on the first run and another 5,000 on the other. One perk of the ticket other than getting through the entrance to "Minecraft" dreamland is a discount on hotel room pricing.

Meanwhile, Mojang will be welcoming volunteer "Minecon Agents" starting next week. Those who want to be part of the event as agents will have to fill an online form and wait for Mojang to contact them. Interested exhibitors, on the other hand, can contact Mojang via minecon@mojang.com for details. Then in the month of March, participants of the convention can start submitting panel ideas. There will be an online form to complete as well as a video showing of Minecon-material ideas. Those who want to play a part just have to keep their eyes peeled for more information in the Mojang website.

The widely popular open-world building game is truly loved by many. The 2015 Minecon in London will mark its fifth. The question that tags along the announcement of its comeback is how the event would look like with Microsoft at the forefront. Back in 2010, there were only 50 partakers that graced the debut of the event in Washington. Lucky are those 50 who met "Minecraft" creator Markus "Notch" Persson up close and personal. By 2011, the number of spectators surged to 5,000. "Minecraft" lovers that attended the affair only kept burgeoning as the 2013 Minecon in Florida saw 7,500 guests.
