Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features: Hybrid notebook to shore up LTE capability?

Ever since Microsoft subtly hinted the possibility of a Surface Pro 4 in the pipeline, the titanic tech firm has kept details at a minimum. With Microsoft mum, rumor mills relentlessly chomp and chew to get some details. With the speculations that have so far emerged, one would know that there could be a big future ahead for the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

According to The Motley Fool, the upcoming tablet laptop hybrid will come with LTE capability, a feature everyone wishes the device would get. This is in consideration to the prospect brought up by Intel, saying that about 15 percent of the PCs in the world will be chipping in cellular data connection by year 2018.

Of course, this comes with a price, literally. Latinos Post said that Qualcomm royalty fees and other components that will support the feature would entail extra shell out. This direction, however, is probably the best one to take for both consumers and Microsoft itself. The much-needed feature will reportedly be integrated to the hybrid, which will be of great essence for buyers. Microsoft, on the other hand, will have major control over the stiff competition in the turf, even with Apple around. Meanwhile, Crossmap believes that a value lower than what the Surface Pro 3's price tag now bears should be expected. This is plainly to avoid burning a hole in the pocket of users who wish to get a powerful tablet.

Apart from the LTE capability, there are also other high-end specs that rumors have managed to put together. There are strong speculations that the Surface Pro 4 will be the first device to actually showcase Microsoft's newest operating system that is currently in the works, Windows 10. When it comes to display features, media outlets report that there could be two sizes coming, 10 inches and 14 inches. Ecumenical News emphasized that the latter will come with a much better resolution, 2160 x 1440 while the former will be relatively inferior in terms of specs by and large.

Under the hood, the Intel Core M processor will make its debut. To give a concrete taste of its power, Ecumenical News stated that users will get to play videos for eight hours, two hours longer than its predecessors. There could also be a boost in the internal memory. Although rumors are a bit vague with this, there will surely be one hefty RAM on the way with Surface Pro 3 already enjoying 8 GB RAM. Lastly, rumors predict that the Microsoft Pro 4 will invade the tech realm before 2015 closes.
