Michael Douglas news: Preemptively denies sexual allegations from former employee

Amid the debacle of sexual assault allegations in the entertainment business today, veteran American actor Michael Douglas has expressed that he has been waiting for allegations to come his way. However, he went on ahead and preempitvely denied any and all sexual misconduct allegations even before a potential case presented itself.

As reported by Deadline, Douglas took the initiative of coming out with his preemptive denial in an attempt to avert the possibility of being scrutinized by the public -- which would effectively tarnish his 50-year career in the entertainment business. It so happens that two publications have already approached Douglas, asking him about a sexual allegation that one of his employees from 30 years ago recently made.

It is important to note that Douglas understands the potential ramifications of denying the allegations right off the bat, the 73-year-old two-time Oscar winner stated that if he came out with his side first, he would then have "control over the narrative" instead of having the possibility of the public instantaneously scrutinizing him due to the aforementioned allegations that could be published at any time.

Douglas is also certain that the story will be published despite his early denial.

As it turns out, Douglas' former employee told one of the publications that the actor used "colorful" language, which suggests that Douglas used to say inappropriate things in the past in front of her as well as his other colleagues. In addition to that, she also claims that Douglas prevented her from being able to get new jobs after she got fired from her post. Finally, she also alleges that Douglas pleasured himself right in front of her.

The actor explained that all the information that the publication received is untrue. As for his use of language, however, he asserts that he never "directed them towards her," and that he had not spoken to her in over 30 years.
