Miami Heat trade rumors: Goran Dragic and Reggie Jackson on the Heat radar

The Miami Heat have yet to hit their stride and get over the departure of Lebron James and hopefully new blood can do that.

Like most of the teams in the NBA to date, the Heat are also exploring all possibilities as far as acquiring available players placed on the trading block is concerned. And as we reported in previous articles, among the players the Heat could dangle include Norris Cole, Mario Chalmers and Luol Deng (for the right price).

So who are their targets?

  1. Goran Dragic. Dragic is a hot name in the trade market, which is only days away from closing. The Heat find themselves in mix of teams looking to acquire Dragic despite the Suns saying that they would prefer to trade Isaiah Thomas. Seeing that the suns are looking for a player who can play upfront, Luol Deng could be an interesting trade-off. But the question is will both teams agree?
  2. Reggie Jackson. Just like Dragic, another player that is making waves and subject to trade is OKC Thunder's Reggie Jackson. He is expected to test the free agent market and the Thunder are exploring a possible trade before that happens. Like Dragic, Jackson is someone that other teams are keeping a close eye on so it will be interesting to see what the Heat can do to come out on top.

Other names such as Jameer Nelson, Wilson Chandler and Aaron Afflalo are said to be on the Heat radar as well so it may be interesting to note who the Heat will eventually land with a couple of days to go.

The NBA trade deadline ends on February 19, 2015.

With Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh dealing with injuries, things have not necessarily turned rosy for coach Erik Spoesltra and Pat Riley since James went back to the Cavaliers. The Heat seem to be banking on their prospects which hopefully can carry them past the Lebron James-era.
