"Mass Effect Andromeda" is set for release on the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch — formerly known as the Nintendo NX — launch is not planned, at least not yet.
When "Mass Effect" producer Michael Gamble was asked by a fan on Twitter if such were to happen, he said that he "can't speak for the future. Just the current plans."
The current plans being a PC and the above-mentioned console releases for "Mass Effect Andromeda." However, Electronic Arts (EA), the publisher of the game, will support Nintendo Switch, which was previewed a few days ago.
This does not guarantee that "Mass Effect Andromeda" will be released there, though. However, it is entirely possible with massive games like "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" coming to the hybrid console.
Meanwhile, the development of the game continues with level designer Jos Hendriks tweeting about the processor while still keeping his cards close to his chest.
"Sometimes you just find yourself scripting music cues for a mission. Right now is one of those sometimes," Hendriks said about working on "Mass Effect Andromeda."
"Few things more satisfying than setting up a bunch of things that took a day and a half to do, and then it just works immediately," he said in another tweet, suggesting that work on the game is going smooth, although much about the game itself is kept under wraps.
"Finally checked in some work again and sent an update to the team working on this mission and I am pleased. Onwards!" he said in another tweet about "Mass Effect Andromeda."
Bioware has kept itself mum with regards to the details about the upcoming "Mass Effect" game, but fans should learn more about it during the N7 Day on Nov. 7.
Gamble has teased that they are putting everything in place for the highly anticipated convention, and fans can bet "Mass Effect Andromeda" will be the star of the show.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" will be released in March 2017.
