Martin Smith tops iTunes Christian & Gospel chart

The first full-length solo debut from Martin Smith - God's Great Dance Floor, Step 01 - has hit the No 1 position on the iTunes Christian & Gospel chart.

The album marks the musical rebirth for former Delirious? frontman and stems from a reinvigorated season of living in community with everyday believers.

God`s Great Dance Floor, Step 01 is a welcoming invitation to prodigals and faithful alike and a reminder that God's grace is for everyone.

The first radio single from the album, "Back To The Start (God's Great Dance Floor)" sets the tone for the record.

Co-written by Martin and 2013 Grammy winner Jonas Myrin (10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)), the companion concept video of the single is also generating interest with over 105,000 views on YouTube alone.

In addition to the radio and video single, the album features the modern rock anthem "Fire Never Sleeps" which opens the acclaimed Jesus Culture With Martin Smith: Live From New York.

Martin also co-wrote four songs with Chris Tomlin, including "Waiting Here For You" with its message of the fragility of our humanity and how waiting is perhaps the most difficult act of worship.

A free download of the beautiful and contemplative ballad "Catch Every Teardrop", a piece inspired by Psalm 52, is available for fans at http://smarturl.it/ggdf-free-track

God's Great Dance Floor, Step 02 is slated for release in October 2013.
