Nintendo may still be far from matching the successful sales performance of "Mario Kart Wii" in 2008 but "Mario Kart 8" is expected to receive great reception nonetheless. Before long, the new title may be able to top its predecessor's 35 million sales. The hottest Nintendo title has already sold 3.49 million since its release last month. The count stands at the Wii U sales that have now amounted to 7.29 million.

"Mario Kart 8" players are implored to hark back to the past with its upcoming downloadable pack. At the moment, Nintendo has already announced a number of exciting features and "Mario Kart" goodies to be available in the game soon. The developer is working on two DLC packs, one for this month and the other for May next year.

For the November collection, the lovely lineup starts with the 2003 "Mario Kart Double Dash" original, Yoshi's Circuit. Another is a special motorcycle inspired by the ever-popular title "Legend of Zelda" known as the Master Cycle track. The pack also grants gamers eight new-fangled race tracks and three new playable characters, namely Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, and Link. The first pack also includes F-Zero's Blue Falcon vehicle and Mario's B-Dasher kart.

The latest addition to the array is an Excitebike dirt track enthused by a celebrated NES classic. "Excitebike," as diehard and long-time gamers recognize, is the popular 1984 NES motorcycle title that allows motorcycle riders to defy the laws of physics in order to pull off spectacular tricks and stunts over jumping ramps and within a timeframe. Naturally, the basic game received a major visual and graphic overhaul before landing on Wii U and it is only guaranteed that fans will enjoy the integration of this well-loved saga.

The first pack only costs $8. For a really good deal, gamers can pay $12 for both by taking the first pack home and pre-ordering the Animal Crossing DLC to be released in May 2015. This way, gamers can also score the multi-colored Yoshis.
