Los Angeles Lakers NBA 2015 news: Will Nick Young be here next season?

Nick Young is currently sitting on pins and needles as he ponders on where he would be playing next season. Will he still be donning the purple and gold or will he end up changing zip codes to get his career back on track?

Such are the question circulating right now and neither Young can put his finger on it. Are the Lakers trading or keeping him?

After a breakout year which saw Young being re-signed for another tour of duty last year, Young has been on the down-swing. He signed a four-year deal worth $21.5 million, a reward for proving that he stands to be a valuable asset for the Lakers moving forward.

But injuries and his ability to fit in to coach Byron Scott's Princeton-style of coaching have somehow shut him down. Young was simply not the same after those developments and now he is being linked to various trade rumors which could happen as early as NBA Draft night where the Lakers are selecting second.

Though many view Young's relationship with Scott as awry, Scott does point out the things where Young should improve. One is shot selection where Scott points out that Young loves to take tough shots but has the knack of settling for jumpers.

Such were taken in by Young positively but the fact remains is that Young would need to take those words of wisdom for his best interest. They were mentioned as a means to help him become a better player.

But the question is will Young be doing those changes in Los Angeles or somewhere else.

There is no telling what the Lakers really intend to do with Young but much of that could be answered once the NBA offseason comes around. That is not far ahead since transactions are expected to go like crazy, especially in July when NBA Free Agency commences.
