LG G4 vs. HTC One M9 rumored specs: Which is worth the wait?

The LG G4 and the HTC One M9 are always at the hub of many rumors and speculations. While their makers have yet to unveil either device, the rich collection of purported specs of the future premium phones courtesy of eagle-eyed fans and ardent leaksters are already enough to get these two into the arena for a showdown.

HTC's One M9 is expected to flaunt a streamlined edge-to-edge glass panel. The LG G4, on the other hand, will be caked in classy aluminum. The forthcoming HTC device is said to come in two sizes, as what an image recently leaked by @evleaks suggests. However, rumors have gathered up that one of these variants will come with a 5-inch Quad HD display. This will make the LG flagship larger with its expected 5.3-inch True HD screen. It also looks to offer crisper visuals, generating a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and an impressive 554 ppi pixel density. This should be the case if HTC opts for 1080 x 1920 pixels and a 441 ppi pixel density.

Both smartphones are said to pack Qualcomm's newest processor, the Snapdragon 810. HTC is rumored to offer a lone 32 GB model supported by 3 GB of RAM. This will be trounced by LG G4, which is expected to boast the same amount of storage capacity but with a 4 GB RAM. In addition, the handset is also touted to offer a 64 GB variant.

In the camera department, it is just too close to call. Although a hefty 20.7-megapixel camera is bound to be loaded in the HTC One M9, the resolution it is said to render will not be too far-off from the LG G4's purported 16-megapixel shooter. Both will allow users to shoot videos in high definition but the LG G4 is set to put forward optical image stabilization. Taking selfies should not be a problem on either device. The LG handset is rumored to sport a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper while the HTC offering will go for a 4-megapixel shooter that also supports HD video recording. The Fuse Joplin added that HTC will employ ultra pixel technology on the front camera of its forthcoming smartphone.

There are rather limited details that shed light to the device's battery life. However, GSM Arena said that the HTC One M9 is likely to house a 2840 mAh battery.

The LG G4 is allegedly set to get a stylus, which will be called the G Pen.

The LG G4 was speculated to be released in March during the Mobile World Congress along with the HTC One M9. However, reports have debunked the possibility of the purported launch of the former. Meanwhile, it is almost certain that HTC will stage the M9's debut on the aforementioned March event as invitations for the affair have already been sent out by the company.
